- Why the (er)
FLY is the feeling. The (er) is you.
Every name tells you something. Here's what ours says, and why those two little brackets matter.
Free on iPhone, iPad and Mac. On Android? Install it from the web.On iPhone? It's on the App Store.
The parentheses hold a seat. It's empty until you join. Then it's yours.
Fly
Fly means stylish, sharp, ahead of everyone. It's the attitude: the feeling of being first, being seen, being somewhere that matters.
(er)
The (er) turns the feeling into a person. Sign up and you're a Flyer: one of the flyest people on Earth.
Together
FLY(er) is the place and the people at once, which is exactly what a social network should be.
How do you say it?
Just like "flyer". The brackets are silent. You'll see it written FLY(er) in the app and on the web, FLYer Social on the App Store, and plain FLYer when people type fast. They're all the same place.
Why the brackets?
Because the (er) is held for someone. FLY on its own is a feeling anyone can have. The (er) is the person who decided to be part of it. Join, and the brackets close around you.
Earning the full (er)
Every Flyer starts with the (er). Then there's the crown: earn 10,000 points through flights, replies, likes, shares and follows, and the (er) is yours in full, with perks money can't buy. How the crown works.
Why flights and charters?
Once the name was FLY(er), the rest followed. Posts take off, so they're flights. Your timeline shows what's in the air, so it's the radar. A private room for your people is a charter. And the first thousand people aboard are Founding Flyers.
The crown
The crown is FLY(er)'s mark. It sits on the app icon, on the gold seal of verified accounts, on Founding Flyer badges and in the middle of every Flyer Code. It means you made it here.
